Genetic sequence scanning on Microsoft Azure

Microsoft announced at the SC10 supercomputing trade show in New Orleans that it has a version of the BLAST running on its Azure platform.

BLAST is essentially a search engine for scanning through large databases of chemical compounds to find matches.
