IBM’s new X6 Architecture

IBM-logoIBM introduced this week the sixth generation of its enterprise X-Architecture for System x and PureSystems servers, optimized for analytics and cloud.

One of the innovations brought by the X6 architecture is the integrated eXFlash memory-channel storage, wich combines flash storage with DIMM memory, providing up to 12.8 terabytes of ultrafast flash storage close to the processor.

Also, the new architecture brings a higher level of sclability and improved resiliency.
